Characters born on paper. Brought to life exactly as imagined.
Together, their stories help kids look closer, stay curious, and discover that there’s always more than what you see at first.
There’s more to every character.
From a Kid’s Imagination to a Character You Can Hold
It starts with a drawing - a shape, a color, a creature only a child could imagine.
We bring that drawing to life while keeping the quirks, the wonky lines, and the details that made it theirs in the first place.
But bringing them to life is only the beginning.
Through their stories, our characters invite kids to look a little closer, get curious about what they don’t understand, and discover that there is often more to someone than what we see at first.
There’s always more to see.
Meet the characters
Drawn by kids. Brought to life just as they imagined them. Each character has their own quirks, their own story, and something to help us see a little differently.
She may look prickly. Look again.
Quiet doesn’t mean there’s nothing to say.
He knows a lot. He still has a lot to learn.
The creature didn’t change.
The child did.
What changes when we look again
WORTH KNOWING
The creature was always worthy of knowing.
What looks strange, quiet, prickly, or different at first may simply be something we haven’t taken the time to understand yet.
WORTH UNDERSTANDING
The difference was always worth understanding.
Curiosity asks us to stay a little longer, ask another question, and wonder what we might be missing.
THE STORY WAS ALWAYS THERE.
We just hadn’t seen all of it yet.
Nothing about the creature had to change. The child simply learned to look long enough to see it.
From Imagination to Character
It starts with a child’s drawing.
Not a polished drawing. Not something corrected or redesigned by an adult. A creature exactly as a child imagined it — mismatched ears, strange colors, crooked lines and all.
We don’t fix what makes them different. We build the story around it.

The Story is Where We Look Again
Each Character Made story begins with a first impression. Someone seems strange, too quiet, too loud, too much, or simply hard to understand.
SIMON’S STORY
At first, everyone thinks Simon is shy, strange, and always alone.
But when one child gets curious enough to look again, they discover Simon has been having adventures all along.
FIRST IMPRESSION / CURIOSITY / LOOK AGAIN
Made to be held.
Made to be known.
Character Made brings children’s drawings to life through stories and stuffies - keeping the details that made each character theirs in the first place.
